Catalonia to become first Spanish region to ban circus acts with live animals

Fucking with and torturing animals for a living is fun for some... I guess.
El Pais
October 29, 2013

Catalonia will soon become the first Spanish region to ban circus acts with live animals. On Tuesday, five of the seven political groups in the regional assembly proposed to extend existing animal protection laws to “circus acts with animals, across the Catalan territory.”

The five groups that put forward the bill had made a campaign promise to the animal rights association Libera, whose president Carlos López expressed satisfaction at the initiative and praised that fact that “once again, the Catalan parliament is leading the fight in defense of animal rights.”

According to López, Catalonia will be the first Spanish region to prohibit the use of animals in circus acts, although 99 municipalities in the region already have a similar ban in place. Across Spain this figure rises to 133.

Josep Rull, a deputy for the ruling CIU Catalan nationalist bloc, explained that these days the presence of circus acts that use animals was “completely residual.” Only one circus in the entire region still has animal acts, and it has not put on a show for over a year and a half. “Society has progressed, and with it levels of animal protection.”

Rull then quoted Gandhi’s famous phrase that “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated,” and added that “with proposals like today’s, Catalonia comes closer to the rest of Europe.”

Oriol Amorós, a deputy for the ERC Catalan Republican Left, noted the historical evolution of animal protection in Catalonia, underscoring the ban on bullfighting and the fact that “the Catalan Civil Code is the first one to recognize that animals are not things, but sentient beings that require rights and protection.” [Holy shit... that is profound!!! - Bryan]

According to Amorós, the ban on circus acts with animals is justified because of “a long list of reports of abuse, since living conditions are much worse than at zoos,” especially since the animals are always travelling around, and ultimately abandoned “once they are no longer in a condition to be exploited.”

Despite the self-congratulatory tone, several representatives noted that there was still some way to go before animal welfare becomes truly universal in the region, highlighting the exceptions granted to the correbous (running of the bulls) and bous embolats (bulls with flammable material attached to their horns), two traditional practices still seen at local fiestas in Catalan towns. Bullfighting, on the other hand, is perceived by many Catalans as a purely Spanish tradition.

Catalonia - you definitely are getting it right. Now, what are the chances of the rest of Spain joining you in the 21st century???

Spain and all the third world dumps they created have a long way to go. Ever wonder about that "tradition" known as bullfighting? Read this.

Here is some details of a "sport" which Spain gave to the world:
In fact, what spectators see is not a normal, healthy bull, but a weakened, half-blinded and mentally destroyed version, whose chances of harming his tormentors is virtually nil. The bull has wet newspapers stuffed into his ears; vaseline is rubbed into his eyes to blur his vision; cotton is stuffed up his nostrils to cut off his respiration and a needle is stuck into his genitals. Also, a strong caustic solution is rubbed onto his legs which throws him off balance. This also keeps him from lying down on the ground. In addition to this, drugs are administered to pep him up or slow him down, and strong laxatives are added to his feed to further incapacitate him. He is kept in a dark box for a couple of days before he faces the ring: the purpose of this is to disorientate him.
The sequence of events begins when the bull faces the picadors — these are the men on horseback, whose purpose it is to exhaust the bull. They cut into his neck muscles with a pica. This is a weapon of about 6-8 inches long, and 2 inches thick. Once it is thrust into the bull it is twisted round and a large, gaping wound appears. The bull then starts bleeding to death.
After the picador has finished his sordid business, the assistant matadors then get to work with the banderillas (sharp, harpoon-like barbed instruments). These are plunged into the bull’s body, and he may also be taunted by capes. Up to six banderillas may be used. When the banderillas strike the bull stops in his tracks and bellows madly.
A trumpet signals the final “act” — in fact, during the whole nightmare, strange, slow tunes are played throughout. It is, of course, during the final act that the bull is killed (and hopefully goes onto a better life). The kill should last 6 minutes, and is done by the main matador. If he has any difficulties (which is an extremely rare occurrence), the others immediately rush in to his aid and finish off the bull.
The matador is supposed to sever the artery near the heart with one thrust of the sword — in fact, this never happens. It often takes 2-3 times before the creature is mercifully released by death. By this time, the bull’s lungs and heart will be punctured and he always vomits blood. Miraculously, he sometimes attempts to rise again, and gets up on his knees, only to receive further mutilation at the hands of his tormentors. He finally gives up, goes to his knees and lies down. Even then, he is not allowed a little dignity to leave this world in peace, his ears and tail are cut off (often when he is fully conscious), and his broken, bleeding body is dragged around the ring by mules, to which he is attached by an apparatus made of wood and chains. Not content with his suffering, which must be too horrible to describe by words, the crowds boo and jeer him. They even throw empty beer cans at him. His body is then taken away to be skinned, and even then he may not be dead when this happens.
Spain and most of the Latin Americas do this. Again, change is too slow... how the hell can anyone watch something like that and actually enjoy it?

Who knows if the Israelis are acting in this case as a proxy for the Obama regime. The Syrian government has their hands full dealing with an influx of NATO-backed foreign terrorists on jihad... despite what all the asshats say Assad is not a moron and would not strike Israel or Turkey.

You know, it's high time Israel gets out of American politics and stands on their own.

Outrage Over NSA Spying Spreads to Asia

Zachary Keck
October 31, 2013

The controversy over the U.S. National Security Agency’s global espionage operations appears to be spreading to Asia, where it is already sparking outrage among some of America’s allies and partner states.

Readers will recall that the NSA story began in Asia when former NSA contractor Edward Snowden first fled to Hong Kong immediately before news organizations began publishing stories about the documents he leaked. During Snowden’s brief stay in Hong Kong, some stories came to light about U.S. spying operations in Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Although these attracted a lot of attention in China, they failed to garner much interest elsewhere amid Snowden’s leaks about the NSA’s domestic spying operations and his dramatic stay in Moscow's airport. Ultimately, no one was particularly surprised to learn the U.S. was spying on China.

Since that time, Asia has remained largely on the periphery of the NSA controversy, which has more prominently focused on the agency's domestic operations as well as ones targeting Latin America and European countries. One of the only major exceptions to this came in early July when it was revealed that the NSA was spying on 38 foreign embassies in DC, including key U.S. allies and partners in Asia such as South Korea, Japan, and India.

Events over the last month or so, and especially in the last week, strongly suggest the NSA controversy is starting to engulf the Asia-Pacific as well.

Some of the NSA’s troubles in Asia began last week when reports emerged claiming the U.S. had monitored the communications of 35 world leaders. This immediately prompted some Asian nations, notably South Korea, to demand information on whether their leaders were among the 35 being monitored.

“We are checking with the U.S. side for verification,” an unnamed South Korean official told local media outlets, referring to whether or not South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun was among those being spied on by the U.S. back in 2006. The official added: “The government is closely following the issue and is determined to respond strictly.”

Other countries were more confident they had evaded the NSA’s detection. India, for instance, said there was no cause for concern that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had been one of the world leaders the NSA was monitoring. “The Prime Minister doesn't use a mobile phone and he doesn't have an email account,” a spokesperson for Singh’s office explained. “His office uses email, but he has no personal email… We have no information and no cause for concern.”

Pearl Jam Singer Stops Concert to Push Gun Control

Adan Salazar
October 30, 2013

An appalled Infowars reader sent a YouTube clip of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder taking a break during a recent concert to advocate gun control, citing the tragedy at Sandy Hook as justification for wanting to further infringe on the Second Amendment.

“I had the unfortunate experience of bearing witness to Ed Vedder piss on himself intellectually, advocating taking our guns,” the reader that sent us the video stated.

Speaking in a sermonic manner over soft organ notes, the Seattle songwriter took time out of his band’s setlist last Friday to remind fans at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., that 20 children perished with no chance of survival at Sandy Hook Elementary school last year.

“…it’s necessary that we continue a discussion to figure out how to unravel the situation where something like that can happen and make sure the odds of it happening again are very slim,” a solemn Vedder told the crowd.

Of course, the “Even Flow” composer omitted to mention that the death toll was due mostly to the fact that schools across the nation are federally designated gun-free zones, making them ideal targets for potential mass murders.

Vedder said that gun control efforts are stalled because voices on the gun rights side have been consistently louder than those of anti-gunners, but that the volume of their outcry is tempered by their actual numbers. “The amount of people – it’s just in the millions,” said Vedder dismissively.

By Marco AnnunziataValepert, from Wikimedia Commons
“If we were louder, it can happen, we just have to be louder and we have to let the politicians know that they will be reelected if they do what we ask, and we are asking for them to do it now. Cause what we don’t want is for any of those children’s lives to be wasted.”

In focusing only on the indisputably tragic deaths of these few children, which he insists could have been prevented with stricter gun laws, Vedder simultaneously turned a blind eye to the deaths of innocents caused by the U.S.’s own covert drone program, started under the Bush administration, but continued and widened under Obama. The drone war has been responsible for the deaths of anywhere between 2,562 and 3,325 people in Pakistan alone, according to a report by Stanford and New York universities.

“The report said of those, up to 881 were civilians, including 176 children. Only 41 people who had died had been confirmed as ‘high-value’ terrorist targets,” Mail Online reported last October.
In an interview with surfer Mark Richards earlier this month, Vedder claimed he “almost [wished] bad things upon” gun owners, a segment of the population that Florida State University Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice Gary Kleck, Ph.D., found use firearms to defend themselves against up to 2.5 million crimes a year.

Taking a “well if the president said it, it must be true” shortcut, Vedder also parroted Obama’s made-up figure that 90 percent of Americans supported stricter gun laws.

In the same interview, Vedder also called laws enshrined in the Bill of Rights “antiquated.”
The fact is, in Vedder’s key scenario, a fully-armed gunman entered an area where disarmed victims sat defenseless.

As INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald Noble recently stated in the wake of the Kenya shopping mall siege that left some 72 dead, one of the only ways to ensure innocent “soft targets” are kept safe in open spaces is to give them the means to defend themselves. In other words, an armed populace would be a greater deterrent to the threat of mass shootings than any new laws written – which criminals invariably disobey.

Vedder’s speech again reminds us that the establishment’s efforts to “really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way” have been, to an extent, successful.

Whereas Vedder’s rant might have earned him the label “traitor” and gotten him tarred and feathered in the 18th and 19th centuries, today a dumbed-down public applauds a lecture given by an aging rock star on why their right to self defense needs to be further restricted.

Instead of attacking one of America’s bedrock foundations and cornerstones of liberty (it is the SECOND Amendment for a reason, after all), hopefully sometime in the near future Mr. Vedder can experience an introspective moment in which he realizes guns are not only used by criminals, but many times by innocent people in self defense, after which his attention can be turned to the myriad of pressing issues seriously threatening our liberties – the multitude of threats to privacy, the freedom to assemble, the freedom of the press, the freedom to speak out against corrupt government systems without threat of arrest, the threats to economic and financial viability, and the very real threat that drone strikes pose to citizens abroad.

Watch Alex and Infowars reporter Lee Ann McAdoo’s take on Vedder’s comments that “bad things should happen to gun owners.”

Obama Knew Millions Could Not Keep Their Health Insurance

Lisa Myers and Hannah Rappleye
NBC News
October 28, 2013

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date — the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example — the policy would not be grandfathered.

Come on everybody... it's Obama's Affordable Care Act! Eugenicists will rejoice. Corrupt politicians will rejoice. Greedy lobbyists will rejoice. The average Tom, Dick, and Jane who barely have anything in savings anymore and a bleak future regarding any form of retirement will... rejoice? Sure.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is an example of fascism, where you are no longer allowed the right to do what you will with your money or your healthcare. The American healthcare system is a sham; it is not about healing people or keeping them healthy - it is about profit margins and addressing symptoms in order to keep you coming back for more. Never mind if you might be able to get better by changing your diet or with natural supplements - you need artificial drugs. Even the beloved flu shot people get - the one that is supposed to prevent you from possibly spending a few nights in bed with headache and the sweats - is laden with mercury and god only knows what else. Anything that lies outside of their system of control is squashed and pushed out of the country... dictating to the citizens in the land of freedumb and the brave what treatments they can and cannot pursue. Want to simply be off the grid, outside of the by and large bullshit, unhealthy, mainstream healthcare system? Tough shit. If this is what you want you need to pay the political equivalent of protection money (the schoolyard equivalent of forking over your lunch money) and find you are very much on the grid.
The penalties are not very high to begin with. In 2014, the fine to remain uninsured is $95 per person (up to a family maximum of $285, or 1 percent of family income, whichever is greater).
But the penalty will increase more than sevenfold in the next two years, with the fine running as much as $695 per person by 2016. The family maximum would be as high as $2,085 (or 2.5 percent of family income, whichever is greater).
Notice '... whichever is greater'; they want the greatest amount they can wring out of you.

You ask "Why the penalties?"... and they say:
The penalty is meant to offset the costs of urgent medical care for individuals who do not have health insurance, according to The website also warns that people without health coverage will have to pay the entire costs of all their medical care.
I am left scratching my head... if those without coverage will have to pay the costs of all care given, what costs are there to offset??? Wait. Oh, right... the cost of vacations and higher bonuses and salaries for the insurance industry executives and gifts for the political whores in their pockets. Of course though, we have to keep funneling money into the military and into contracts which politicians have major conflicts of interest - forget using that money to provide real healthcare to the masses.

Yeah, you read that right. Either you end up paying these greedy jerks through the nose, or you pay the expensive insurance company of your choice, or you put your "care" in the hands of a corrupt and inept government. Just like with cancer, you got only three choices. This is similar choices faced by someone that just arrived in prison; they can give Bubba all their money, or they can give Bubba all their things, or they can give Bubba (who of course claims he isn't gay) a blow job... anything else is unacceptable to Bubba.

Freedumb anyone?

By the way - I just saw this:
You will be required to provide information regarding health insurance when you file your 2014 federal income taxes.
So now big brother doesn't just spy on you and have a shit ton of information on you, you now need to divulge who you do business with for YOUR healthcare. What's next? Are we going to need to start reporting where we buy our food from? Monsanto and biotech in general along with their buddies like Obama would love that... and it will probably happen at some point when they look for the next excuse and scapegoat for their "strained" system.

Unless you've lived under a rock for the last decade or so, I am sure you have seen this...

... and thought to yourself never in a million years. Well, we've gone the distance towards it of about 500,000 years, halfway to this point. Wonder if banks will ever begin turning over your spending habits to big brotha? Then, when you seek to get treatment for diabetes because of all the Twinkies you liked to eat they can deny you or financially rape you. Oh you have a heart condition and ate a shit ton of dairy? Sorry pal... you can either fuck off and die or give us your life savings. I wouldn't put it past them. One thing begets the other... and if anything is obvious since the late 1990's, it's that these people (the Bilderbergers, Trilateralists, CFR, etc) are extremely patient regarding their plans [one example is that plans were made prior to the Iraq war to topple Syria, Libya, and Egypt... ten years later they were pushing hard but couldn't quite get there... another is you could take a look at Codex Alimentarius]. They got the time and money... you don't.

I look forward to leaving this country... even if I have to wait ten years to do so.

60 percent say fire every member of Congress

Domenico Montanaro
NBC News
October 10, 2013

Throw the bums out.

That’s the message 60 percent of Americans are sending to Washington in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, saying if they had the chance to vote to defeat and replace every single member of Congress, including their own representative, they would. Just 35 percent say they would not.

The 60 percent figure is the highest-ever in that question recorded in the poll, registered in the wake of the government shutdown and threat of the U.S. defaulting on its debt for the first time in history. If the nation’s debt limit is not increased one week from now, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew warns that the entire global economy could be in peril.

“We continue to use this number as a way to sort of understand how much revulsion there is,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted the poll with Republican Bill McInturff. “We now have a new high-water mark.”

Read the full poll here (.pdf)

The numbers reflect a broader trend over the last few years. Americans have traditionally said that while they might not like Congress, they usually like their own representatives. But that sentiment appears to have shifted.

I thought I was the only one that felt like this? If this is how we collectively feel then why do we keep putting the same idiots into office in the first place?. Further, this is a slanted piece to begin with. Congress has long been castrated since the Bush days; presidents now act more like dictators. The problem isn't Congress - the problem is politicians and their corporate masters... the problem therefore is ALL POLITICIANS, including those within the Senate and our masters in the Executive.

Siberian tigers making a comeback in China

The Siberian tiger was once considered nearly extinct in China. Environmentalists praise the nation's effort to restore habitat.

Barbara Demick
The LA Times
October 1, 2013

In a lifetime of herding, Liu Xiangqing had never seen cows so scared.

Normally, at 6 a.m., they would be gathered together, contentedly chewing and grazing in the dawn light. But this June morning, they were scattered through the pine scrub, pacing with agitation, their ears alert. Liu took a quick head count and realized one was missing, a 2-year-old bull.

By the time the remains were located, the tail and thighs were missing, the entrails spilled in the dirt. There was a gash in the neck; claw marks raked down the torso.

It was a sure sign: The Siberian tiger was back.

"In my whole life, I'd never seen a real tiger, but I knew it couldn't be anything else," said the elfin-like Liu, 52, who grew up in this remote Chinese village wedged between the Russian and North Korean borders.

Once believed nearly extinct in China, the Siberian tiger, the largest member of the cat family, is making a comeback, the result of a decade-long effort to restore its natural habitat by banning logging, hunting and trapping.

Although they weigh as much as 675 pounds, Siberian tigers are elusive creatures that slink into the forest when humans approach. Villagers learn that a tiger has been on the prowl when they spot paw prints (or pug marks, as they are known) the diameter of melons. Or, as is happening more frequently in China, they discover that livestock is missing or mauled.

Four cows were killed in five days in May in another village near the border. One of the largest of Liu's herd, a 1,300-pound bull, lost his tail to a tiger but stayed alive by fighting back.

In March, a farmer investigating a noise pointed his flashlight into the darkness and saw a tiger with claws dug into a cow. He chased it away by banging a metal bucket and setting off a firecracker.

In China, the number of Siberian tigers living in the wild (far smaller than those in captivity) has been listed in government statistics at between 18 and 22 for some years, said Li Zhixing, who has worked for decades on tiger protection.

Nobody knows the exact number, because the Chinese don't have tracking collars on the tigers, but Li believes there could be as many as 40 now and that the population is growing.

"I personally think the number of tigers has doubled in the last decade and that the area populated by tigers has become much larger," said Li, 60.

Li credits campaigns to restore the degraded forests in China and Russia. The latter began tiger-protection efforts in the 1940s and has the largest population of Siberian tigers, between 400 and 900, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

But in recent years, China has caught up and might even be moving ahead in creating tiger-friendly habitat, Li said.

"Russia has fewer people than China, so it is a better place for tigers. But they are doing a lot of logging and burning off of agriculture fields after harvest, and the tigers don't like that," said Li, a native of Hunchun, the largest city in the region. "It is not hard for a tiger to jump over the barbed-wire fences at the border and come to China."

Although Chinese still buy illegal body parts of tigers — poached in India or killed in captivity — for traditional medicine, the wild tigers have not been hunted in China since the 1950s, Li said. In fact, hunting of all animals except rats is banned in China.

But many people in the down-at-the-heels villages near the Russian border trap other animals, which Li believes also has an effect on tigers. First of all, tigers can easily be snared in traps. More important, trapping sets off a destructive cycle of theft; if humans steal the deer and wild pigs that are the tigers' natural prey, the tigers in turn are prompted to steal the humans' livestock.

"Getting rid of the traps is absolutely critical to making a better environment for the tigers," said Li, who was making the rounds recently in the villages near the border, distributing beekeeping equipment to encourage an alternative livelihood to trapping.

The Chinese government also has sought to improve the public's attitude toward tigers by compensating farmers for pilfered livestock. Liu, for example, expects to receive about $500 for the young bull killed in June. Chinese newspapers now contain a multitude of articles about tiger attacks on farms, further raising awareness.

Here in Jilin province, the Forestry Ministry has designated a wildlife preserve containing 108,700 acres of spruce, pine and larch forest, the favorite habitat of the tiger. In August, scientists released 37 deer into the preserve to attract tigers as well as leopards, another endangered species native to the region.

"If you want to protect tigers, you have to protect their food supply," Zhang Changzhi, a scientist with the World Wildlife Fund, which is sponsoring the project, said as he toured a preserve in Wangqing county recently.

Heat-detecting cameras attached to trees attest to the success of the project; they have produced three photographs of leopards and one of a tiger.

Tigers are endangered throughout the world: Their population in the wild has dwindled from an estimated 100,000 in the early 20th century to as few as 3,200 today. Siberian tigers, also known as Amur or Korean tigers, are among six surviving subspecies and are native to the boreal forests, or taiga, of China, Russia and North Korea.

Chinese efforts on behalf of the Siberian tiger have won worldwide praise among environmentalists.

A 2010 report in the journal of the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies compared China's preservation efforts favorably with India's and ventured that China might even earn the right to claim it "saved the tiger."

Chinese have been amazed not only by the apparent growth of the tiger population but also by how far the felines have spread. It made headlines around China this year when tigers were seen near Jiamusi, a city 140 miles from the Russian border.

"My father used to tell how he once helped Russians hunt tigers, but in my lifetime — and I'm almost 50 — there hadn't been tigers around here until now," said Che Shiguo, a farmer from the outskirts of Jiamusi, in Heilongjiang province. He saw a tiger devouring a 3-month-old calf in August.

He screamed, and the tiger ran away.

"If not, I would probably have been eaten by the tiger too," Che said.

The last time a tiger killed a human in China was 2002, and that was considered a freak incident, the result of an angry, wounded animal that had fallen into a trap. In 2006 and 2007, people were injured in tiger attacks near Hunchun, but both survived. Compared with some other subspecies, such as India's Bengal tigers, Siberian tigers are not considered dangerous to humans, preferring as they do to lurk quietly in the woods.

"We never go out into the mountains now alone. We are always in groups of two or three so there is somebody to scare off the tiger," said Qi Shuyan, 46, who works on the same ranch in Jintang as Liu Xiangqing.

Li, the tiger expert, says attacks are relatively rare here because of Chinese respect for the tiger, revered by many as a mountain god.

"There is a superstition here that a tiger will only attack you if you do something bad," Li said. "Sometimes when people encounter a tiger, they don't run, they just kneel and pray."

I have ZERO faith in China. And I don't have much faith in the LA Times either. International pressure has to be put on China now and the pressure needs to increase and be unrelenting. How these people think there is a brighter future for the tiger in China is beyond me; this is a nation where they have a large population that, if they have the economic means, they consume traditional Chinese medicinal products - all of which are silly - all of which typically have animals parts as ingredients... such as a tigers penis or wine made from tiger bones. How can anyone believe we have turned a corner in China while they have zoos that breed tigers to be used for ingredients for their dirt-worshiping medicine? Until the Chinese people actually stop consuming these products and there is a shift in consciousness from the government all the way down to the farmer the tiger will remain in absolute peril.

And, as far as breeding programs go, it is my opinion that doing so while aiming to keep subspecies independent of one another is, and has been, totally ineffective. In the end we are going to have to realize that the ongoing survival of the tiger is the number one priority, even above the survival of subspecies. If subspecies live on in the genes alone it is worth it in my book... of course while doing everything possible to save them in the wild.

Confirmed: Obamacare Breeds Massive Corruption and Fraud

As we predicted last week, health law creates unprecedented wave of scammers

Kit Daniels
October 1, 2013

A non-profit organization sued by the federal government last year for fraud was awarded a $2.1 million federal contract this year to enroll Americans into Obamacare, confirming our prediction last week that widespread fraud will explode under the health law.

The New York Post reported today that an Obamacare grant recipient, Seedco, was sued by the federal government in 2012 for lying on government reports in order to receive additional bonus money.

As reported by the New York Times last year, Seedco received more than $8 million in federal grants for operating job placement centers.

According to federal prosecutors, Seedco falsely reported that it had successfully matched jobseekers with jobs by basing their claims on the positions jobseekers already had.

“By reporting thousands of fake job placements, Seedco collected ‘performance payments’ totaling perhaps as much as $1.6 million over five years,” reported Michael Powell with the New York Times.

The lawsuit did not stop the federal government from awarding Seedco another multi-million dollar contract, this time as a coordinator for the Obamacare Navigator program.

The Navigator program provides millions of dollars to organizations such as Seedco to hire “navigators” who will advise Americans on their Obamacare health “options” based on the sensitive information provided, such as social security numbers, income levels, employment history and home addresses.

In an article we broke last week, the very nature of the Navigator program will attract identity thieves who can literally go door-to-door to ask Americans for their personal information under the guise of Obamacare enrollment.

“These navigators will have our consumers throughout the country’s most personal and private information: tax return information, Social Security information,” Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said in an interview with Fox. “And our biggest fear, of course, is identity theft.”

She also added that even those with prior identity theft convictions can still become navigators.

Bondi’s fears are well-founded considering that an organization sued for fraud is now coordinating Obamacare navigators who have immense opportunities to steal identities.

Elephant Says Goodbye To An Old Friend

"There is one universal experience, that's death. That is something we are all going to experience at some distance in the lives of loved ones, strangers and friends, people around us and certainly our own."

Nick Visser
The Huffington Post
September 30, 2013

Journalist Scott Simon's words are probably some of the most poignant when paired with this heartbreaking photo of an elephant standing guard over her deceased friend.

This incredible photograph was taken by John Chaney as part of the 2012 National Geographic Traveler photo contest. Chaney wrote that the female elephant in the image, which was taken in 2007, stood guard over the body of her friend for hours to pay her respects, chasing off birds and predators. She then wrapped her trunk around the other's tusk in a heartbreaking goodbye.

"I think it should be something we are comfortable talking about," Simon said in August following the death of his mother. "Insofar as we can talk about it comfortably, we can reset the clocks in our own lives. If we can accept death and understand it and know, whether we are 10 or 30 or 60 or 80, that it's just over the horizon."

Sadly, this scene is only reflective of the growing peril African elephants face. The international ivory trade is thriving and poachers are going to extreme lengths to hunt and kill the giants for their tusks. Wildlife conservation groups estimate upwards of 35,000 elephants were killed in 2012.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently announced a sweeping, $80 million effort to stop elephant slaughter.

"Unless the killing stops, African forest elephants are expected to be extinct within 10 years. I can't even grasp what a great disaster this is ecologically, but also for everyone who shares this planet," she said.

I despise the Clintons - just as much as I despise the Bush family and the Obama regime - yet I am pleased somewhat that she even mentions something like this. In the end $80 million is nothing. Until her rich inbred buddies at Bilderberg and the CFR see that ensuring the survival of beings like the elephant in Africa, the tiger in India and southeast Asia, the orcas in Pacific northwest (and more)... until they are seen as a treasure greater than controlling oil and robbing nations of their natural resources nothing will change. Until Clinton and other government cronies push to provide support for rangers fighting poaching instead of supporting al Qaeda, or selling weapons to the Saudis, nothing will change.

Insurance Giants See Stocks Soar on Launch of Obamacare

Paul Joseph Watson
October 1, 2013

It turns out that forcing millions of Americans to buy health insurance is quite profitable for the giant health insurance companies that helped write Obamacare – health insurance providers across the board saw their stock prices soar today.

On the first day that new insurance exchanges were made available to Americans, companies like WellPoint Inc. and Molina Healthcare Inc. saw their stocks gain over 2.5%.

It’s unsurprising that large health insurance companies are enjoying the fruits of mandatory Obamacare regulations, since they helped write them in the first place.

WellPoint’s performance today will surely be celebrated by its former Vice President Liz Fowler, who wrote the 87-page white paper that was the foundation of Obamacare. After it was passed, Senator Max Baucus profusely thanked Fowler for being personally responsible for crafting the Affordable Health Care Act. Politico described her as a “major player” in getting the bill through Congress.

WellPoint Inc. is the nation’s second largest health insurer and is responsible for operating Blue Cross Blue Shield licenses.

Others companies like United Healthgroup Incorporated (America’s largest health insurance provider) and Cigna Corp also enjoyed spikes today in excess of 1.5%.

The gains all surpassed the Nasdaq’s overall daily rise of around 1%.

As we previously documented, virtually all of the major health insurance companies have seen their stock prices continually climb since Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law in 2010.

The insurance lobbies, Obama, and the political whores they bought really do care about providing us all with great medical coverage.

How many more examples of American fascism does one need?
