After years of arming and supporting al-Qaeda/foreign fighters/ISIS in places like Egypt, Libya, and Syria, it looks like the powers-that-be may just get what they want in Syria. Their attempt at duplicating in Syria the results achieved in Egypt and Libya stalled; they were not allowed, this time, to fly as a supporting air force for terrorist elements. The elements that compose ISIS and al-Nusra in Syria were initially, and for a long time thereafter, aided by NATO (chiefly the U.S., France, and Turkey). Report after report surfaced as to the allegiance of these entities, that there were elements of al-Qaeda and other extremists, yet the media and the people did not take notice. As ISIS' power grew within northern Syria they became emboldened; this wasn't about freeing the Syrian people from a dictator, this was about establishing a Caliphate. ISIS is essentially al-Qaeda renamed... they fly the same flag, and early in their campaign against Assad they pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda. Much like how the majority of the recent destruction and looting in Ferguson, Missouri was done by those that did not live there, these individuals are primarily foreign. Anyone with a room temperature IQ could surmise that these elements would spill across the Syrian border into northern Iraq... and this has happened. Whether or not this was anticipated by the globalist manipulators is unknown but rather likely, as it has been long suspected that post-occupied Iraq would be split into thirds.

Now, with the death of one journalist, we have calls for the destruction of ISIS. Where were these calls when this group was rampaging through Syria? As Stalin once said; "The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic".

Now there is talk of arming yet another group, the Kurds in northern Iraq. When are we going to learn? When are we going to clean up after ourselves? When will we hold people accountable? I have not heard ONE TIME someone on the lamestream media call out the Obama government for their support of terrorists across the middle east. And, to this day, those in the Bush administration run free; never mind the fact it was their deceit and lies that paved the path for where we now find ourselves. Never mind the thousands of American lives those lies cost or the several hundred thousand Iraqi lives lost. And for what???

This planet, at this time, appears to be so out of control I find it hard to bother mustering the energy to post on this blog anymore. Where would you even begin? Even now, with all that I have written so far, I have no clue how articulate it is. So I guess I'll end this part by saying that those that comprise the globalist power are smarter than us - they are going to end up getting exactly what they want with Syria... and with ISIS. They once again, have a boogeyman [a real boogeyman] that they can use to their ends - just look at all the talk now of possible ISIS attacks on American soil. I am not opposed to fighting ISIS, but I am opposed to fighting ISIS and letting those that aided and abetted them continue, unaccountable for their actions.

Again I ask, when are we going to learn and grow up as a people? The masses don't want to be accountable or responsible, and instead, want to believe in benevolent politics and politicians or use them solely as a place to lay blame when things are less than good. The founders of the United States believed the citizenry needed to remain intelligent on all matters - and by and large we have utterly failed - it was supposed to be our responsibility to safeguard what should have been our way of life.

What's more, the world itself seems to be on the brink of spinning into complete chaos:

NATO [yes, they are so credible] claims that Russian artillery is firing at Ukrainian forces.

The U.S. and Ukraine believe a Russian convoy could be sneaking in Russian forces [seems absurd to me]

Foreign envoy is killed in Ukraine.

This one states Russia has moved artillery INTO Ukraine...

Anybody else get the feeling like someone is really fired up about pressing Putin's buttons?

U.S. military brass state ISIS must be attacked in Syria. [Here it is folks...]

Iran sends tank units into northern Iraq to fight ISIS... [and they are fighting alongside the Kurds!]

And there is so much more... You have the madness going on between Israel and Gaza; I am so sick and tired of seeing pro-Israel commercials it makes me ill when I attempt to get a small dose of lamestream media like Fox News - they have that bullshit on repeat there. Here's an example of the one-sided spin spun on networks like Fox News:

These commercials then talk about one-sided "war crimes":

It's a known fact that Gaza is a small place that has a high density population. Fighting in Gaza is akin to having a fist fight in a closet. Nearly two million people live in Gaza - there is over five thousand people per square kilometer. Besides, does the photo they use in the advert above look like armed men in armed conflict? No. Guys standing casually with their weapons down - the photo is clearly used out of context.

Why doesn't these commercials, if they are so concerned about the safety of children, show this type of footage:

There really is a war on for your mind; start using it.

Then if you think what's taking place in Syria is bad, with sixty or so journalists missing (as touted by the media itself), what about Mexico??? Mexico claims that 22,322 people have vanished into thin air since 2006. Do the math; that's nearly 2,500 people gone, on average, in any given year since 2006. And this isn't including the known murders... some of which are like this:

I don't know about you, but some of the stuff taking place down south is on par, or rivals, the actions of ISIS and its ilk.

Next up Africa. There are reports of American biological warfare researchers operating in the areas of the current Ebola outbreak. And as always, there is continued, under-reported, conflict still raging in central Africa.

At this point, I don't even have the energy to go into more details... such as the events in Ferguson, Missouri, India and Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China... and so on. And then, beyond that, is everything else - the environment, greed, economies on the brink, treatment of animals and wildlife, etc.

When you find yourself wading neck deep in all this stuff it begins to just sap the life out of you... and this is one reason why my being active on here wanes at times.

The Kardashev scale is a method of measuring a civilization's technical advancement; we aren't even at level ONE and we have a planet in absolute crisis [if we grow up we might reach level one within 100-200 years). We have untold environmental destruction taking place for the sake of the few (your less than 1%). We have growing poverty, strife, and war. We have what may very well be the SIXTH MASS EXTINCTION event - only this time the cause is looking to be human in origin.

Yet, with all of this, there are no signs of yielding - it's almost as if nobody can really be bothered with taking a step back and examining things. The people that have kids are the ones that really perplex me... and we all know people keep pumping out the kids (and for some reason it's usually the people that then struggle with supporting them that keep churning them out).

If you want to know just how dire things are among us, post something relevant to these issues on your Facebook and gauge the reception it receives; follow this by something trivial such as a photo of a child in your family - you will see. Clearly, the vast majority of people would rather bury their heads in the sand, so long there is ample things to distract oneself with... they can't even smell the smoldering smoke. It's this reason why even the least significant change cannot transpire.

Chicago A Top Terror Target; Ominous Tweet Connects ISIS Threat In City

John Dodge
CBS Chicago
August 22, 2014

Over the past six years, Chicago has become a top potential target for international terrorists, a top security expert said Friday, making the posting of a veiled threat by Islamic radicals on Twitter a higher cause for concern.

“Many organizations refer to Chicago as Obama Town,” said CBS 2 security expert Ross Rice, a former top FBI agent in Chicago. Under President Obama, the U.S. took out Osama bin Laden, and used repeated drone strikes to weaken terror networks.

In the meantime, the U.S. government on Friday issued a security bulletin to all U.S. law enforcement in light of the overall threat posed by Islamic State, commonly known as ISIS or ISIL.

The ominous post on Twitter, purportedly from somebody connected with Islamic State, shows a photo of the Old Republic Building, 307 N. Michigan Ave., in Chicago and the White House.

The text reads:

We are in your state
We are in your cities
We are in your streets

You are our goals anywhere.

Where has everyone been? Obama and other NATO nations have been arming and supporting these groups for years; they used them in Egypt, they used them in Libya, and they tried to use them in Syria. And it is not like this has been kept covert; Romney stated himself, during his campaign in 2012, that he would continue to aid "rebels" (uh - terrorists) that were fighting the Syrian government.

What is it going to take for people to finally wake up?

Experts plead for Australian food manufacturers to reject palm oil

Apes, elephants, rhinos and tigers at dire risk if unsustainable palm oil plantations allowed in Sumatran reserve

August 22, 2014

One of the world’s leading orangutan experts has called on Australian food manufacturers to speed up efforts to ditch unsustainable palm oil, warning that the situation “has never been so desperate” for the threatened primates.

Dr Ian Singleton, head of the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program, said the apes, with the Sumatran elephant, rhino and tiger, were facing a “major extinction event” due to plans to open up a critical reserve for logging and construction.

The vast Leuser ecosystem in northern Sumatra is the only place on Earth where orangutans, elephants, rhinos and tigers co-exist.

Despite this, the regional Aceh government has approved a plan to allow roads, palm oil plantations, logging and mining in the ecosystem. Construction work has started, despite objections put forward by the central Indonesian government.

Singleton warned the situation was “dire” for the threatened species, warning that the development plan would completely wipe out the Sumatran rhino, and leave just a few hundred orangutans.

There are an estimated 6,700 Sumatran orangutans, primarily in the dense rainforests on the north of the island. But their numbers have been severely depleted by forest clearing, largely for palm oil plantations. This has led to apes wandering on to newly established farms, where they are regularly beaten, tortured and killed.

Singleton, with Zoos Victoria, is urging companies based in Australia to commit to certified sustainable palm oil, which is not sourced via the destruction of orangutan habitat. Palm oil is used in many products, from food to toothpaste.

For those that can be bothered; start reading labels and stop buying products that use palm oil.

Japanese dolphin slaughter to resume in September...

Bryan Douebleu
Clinical Cynic
August 14, 2014

In seventeen days, September 1, 2014, the capture and slaughter of dolphins off Japan will begin once again.

The following is borrowed from Sea Shepherd's Cove Guardian page:

The slaughter of 20,000 dolphins, porpoises, and small whales occurs in Japan each year. Starting on September 1st and usually continuing through March of the next year, fishermen herd whole families of small cetaceans into a shallow bay and mercilessly stab and drown them to death.

This annual slaughter of dolphins was virtually unknown until 2003 when Sea Shepherd globally released covertly-obtained film and photographs of the now infamous bloody “Cove” in a village called Taiji. Starting in 2010 and continuing to this day, Sea Shepherd has an ongoing presence of volunteers standing watch on site at the Cove. They are The Cove Guardians.

With your help, we will continue to pressure Japan to end this cruel and destructive slaughter of dolphins. Because we are passionate, dedicated, and committed it may take time, but determination will win the day eventually for the dolphins at Taiji. We invite you to explore this site and support our efforts!

In order for something to change it must fist be squarely faced. YOU must be aware and conscious of it. Inform yourself... even if it makes you uncomfortable, and then continue to spread that awareness.

Scientists: Fukushima radiation is causing “serious biological effects”

Remember the Fukushima disaster? Well, it hasn't gone away because the lamestream media no longer bring it up...

Disaster’s widespread impact now being revealed — “Major irreversible shifts” in ecosystems discussed — “High rates of abnormality and mortality”… severe damage to humans next?

American Genetic Association, Aug 14, 2014: [S]tudies are now beginning to reveal serious biological effects of the Fukushima radiation [...] A series of articles summarizing these studies has now been published in the Journal of Heredity. These describe widespread impacts, ranging from population declines to genetic damage [...] Common to all of the published studies is the hypothesis that chronic (low-dose) exposure to ionizing radiation results in genetic damage and increased mutation rates [...] Hayashi et al. 2014 [...] documented the effects of radiation on rice [...] After three days, a number of effects were observed [...] Taira et al. 2014 [...] examined the response of the pale grass blue butterfly [...] They found size reduction, slowed growth, high mortality and morphological abnormality [...] A review of genetic and ecological studies for a range of other species [...] revealed significant consequences of radiation. Population censuses of birds, butterflies, and cicadas at Fukushima showed major declines attributable to radiation exposure.

Journal of Heredity (Oxford Journals), Sept. – Oct. 2014: The massive release of ionizing radiation to areas near nuclear power plants may cause major irreversible shifts in ecosystems and severe damage to human health, and understanding the risks and quantifying the outcomes of nuclear accidents is of global concern. [This] collection, the first of such a series for Journal of Heredity, covers 3 diverse taxa: rice plants, butterflies, and birds.

Dr. Tim Mousseau, Univ. of South Carolina, Aug. 2014: A growing body of empirical results from studies of birds, monkeys, butterflies, and other insects suggests that some species have been significantly impacted by the radioactive releases related to the Fukushima disaster [...] There is an urgent need for greater investment in basic scientific research of the wild animals and plants of Fukushima.

Dr. Joji Otaki, Univ. of the Ryukyus (Japan), Aug. 2014: Non-contaminated larvae fed leaves from contaminated host plants collected near the reactor showed high rates of abnormality and mortality.
See the newly published studies here:

Yeah, let's keep proliferating nuclear energy. The Japanese are setting up to continue production and building new plants and Obama is squarely in the pocket of the nuclear lobby. I'd take dirty coal any day of the week over nuclear waste or fall out. Better yet, isn't it high time to break the corporate stranglehold over renewable energy progress?

Pesticide ban call to save bees

Scotland's bumblebee population is said to have declined by 60% over the past 50 years

BBC News Scotland
August 14, 2014

MSPs have called on ministers to ban certain pesticides during a Holyrood debate on the plight of bees.

SNP MSP Angus MacDonald tabled a motion calling for action to "reduce pesticides that harm pollinators".

The Scottish Wildlife Trust believes pesticides known as neonicotinoids are partly to blame for a 60% decline in the bumblebee population.

The Scottish government said it was adopting a "precautionary approach" pending more research.

The trust said there had been a 60% decline in the number of bumblebees in the past 50 years and other important pollinators including hoverflies and butterflies were under threat.

Species such as the great yellow bumblebee have become rarer and confined to the north and west of Scotland while butterflies such as the marsh fritillary and the pearl bordered fritillary had also dwindled, it said.

'Action plans'

Mr MacDonald's motion in parliament backed a call from the campaign group Buglife for "the Scottish government to develop and implement action plans, coordinate pollinator monitoring programmes, reduce pesticides that harm pollinators and conserve pollinator species while maintaining places for pollinators to feed and breed".

The Liberal Democrat SNP for Orkney, Liam McArthur, said: "Loss of habitat, use of pesticides and insect disease are all thought to be factors in this decline.

"However, as islands we have a unique opportunity to put in place more effective measures to protect our bee populations.

"As well as supporting further research into pesticides that are less harmful to pollinators, I want to see steps taken to restrict the import of bees and hives into Orkney.

"Given the devastating impact that the varroa mite has had on bee numbers in Orkney and elsewhere, even a voluntary ban would go some way to providing much needed extra protection."

The varroa mite, a parasite which feeds off a bee's blood, has been associated with the decline of honeybee populations worldwide.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust says butterflies and other pollinators such as hoverflies are also under threat
Nectar networks

The Scottish Wildlife Trust has begun a number of initiatives including the creation of a "nectar network" between Troon and Irvine in Ayrshire by planting wildflowers to connect habitats for wild pollinators.

Head of policy, Dr Maggie Keegan, said: "The trust believes the decline in wild pollinators and honeybees may act like the 'canary in the mine' - indicating that Scotland's landscapes and ecosystems are not being managed sustainably.

"Everyone can do their bit to help these wonderful creatures recover by creating a window box and planting wildflowers in the garden, but it is vital we tackle this issue at the landscape-scale to create a 'nectar network' across Scotland.

"The trust hopes this debate converts words into action from the Scottish government.

"At the very least, the trust would like to see the Scottish government commit to banning harmful pesticides such as neonicotinoids outright and supporting research into pollinators and low-pesticide farming systems."

A Scottish government spokesman said it was "committed to taking a precautionary approach on the use of neonicotinoids".

The spokesman added: "It is essential, given concerns that have been expressed about the efficiency of previous Defra funded field trials, that we await further research that clearly and properly demonstrates the nature and extent of risk that neonicotinoids pose to bees, and other pollinators, when they are foraging."

4 Billion Gallons of Mining Waste Pour Into Pristine B.C. Waterways

August 7, 2014

First Nations, environmentalists and just about everyone else are aghast at the severity of the toxic spill from a tailings pond.

On August 4 the tailings pond of the gold and copper open-pit Polley Mine, operated by Imperial Metals Corp., breached and sent billions of gallons of metals-laden silt and water into waterways awaiting the return of the salmon.

The mess has only just begun to wreak its environmental havoc, with campgrounds evacuated, a local emergency declared and a fishing ban imposed, among other immediate effects. Long-term damage is not yet known, and Imperial officials say they have no idea why it happened.

But company president Brian Kynoch told CBC News that the tailings pond isn’t so bad and that he would even consider drinking it.

Imperial has been given a deadline for dealing with the situation, the Vancouver Sun reported in a story with extensive video as well.

The jarring footage below from flyovers would seem to belie that notion. The first one was posted by Global BCTV and the second, a half-hour long, is raw footage taken by the local government.

You heard right. Osama bin Laden is alive and has crossed our southern border.

[Oh wait, no... he was killed by some SEALS that crash landed into his compound next door to Pakistani government agencies... and then his body was thrown off a ship and no pictures or proof provided (not to mention that many involved SEALS were killed in a helo crash). Oh no... again... he died back in late 2001 or early 2002 according to Pakistani intelligence.]

In a Project Veritas investigation released on Monday, James O’Keefe crossed the Rio Grande from Mexico to the United States disguised as Osama bin Laden.

Obama vacations as the world burns

Obama's clicking his heels and losing his balls...

Dana Milbank
August 11, 2014

President Obama must really be teed off.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, his once-loyal secretary of state and his likeliest successor, has gone rogue, criticizing his foreign policy as too timid.

Obama responded with not one but two rounds of golf.

Clinton, in an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg published by the Atlantic over the weekend, offered a withering comment on the Obama doctrine, described in shorthand by White House officials as “don’t do stupid s---.” Said Clinton: “Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle.”

As the criticism became public, Obama was doggedly sticking with his plans to go on vacation — a decision that, if not in the category of stupid stuff, could fit under the heading of “tone deafness.”

Hillary should learn to stop throwing rocks in a glass house. It's the classic case of it being to easy to preach to others and never look at oneself and one's actions. But... she is right. And of course, she is wrong. Obama is simply just a figurehead...

August 12, 2014

While 8.7 million jobs have been regained since the 2008 recession, they are paying much less, by an average of 23 percent, according to a report released Monday by the United States Conference of Mayors.

The report comes as debate continues about income inequality in the United States.

"While the economy is picking up steam, income inequality and wage gaps are an alarming trend that must be addressed," said Conference of Mayors President Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento, Calif., in a news release. "We cannot put our heads in the sand on these issues."

The annual wage in sectors where jobs were lost, particularly in manufacturing and construction, during the recession was $61,637, but the average wage of new jobs through the second quarter of 2014 is $47,131, the report shows.

It represents a loss of $93 billion in wages, according to the report. (See the full report here.)

The losses in construction and manufacturing were replaced by jobs in hospitality, health-care and administrative support.

The report shows the gap between low- and higher-income households is growing and likely will continue in the future. In 2012, the latest year for which figures are available, 73 percent of metro areas had a larger share of poorer households (those making less than $35,000 per year) than upper-income households of above $75,000.

What better remedy than to have blanket amnesty? Obviously our thriving and burgeoning economy can provide for all no? Why not send for all the poor across the other hemisphere while were at it? And to think that some idiot lamestream media outlets were just reporting we have "turned a corner"...

DeAndre Smith, a resident of Ferguson, Missouri, told the Post-Dispatch the proper response to the alleged police shooting of Michael Brown Jr. is to torch private property.

“This is exactly what is supposed to happen when an injustice[s] is happening in your community,” Smith said as he stood before a smoldering QuikTrip. He went on to say arson and rioting are appropriate responses to slavery.

The QuikTrip was just one of many destroyed businesses.

The destroyed store served as a gathering place Monday night for residents outraged by the alleged murder. Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson told CBS News the police used tear gas and beanbag rounds against the crowd by nightfall.

Smith, who hinted he had something to do with the arson, may believe destroying the private property of people who had nothing to do with the shooting substitutes for justice, but the NAACP disagrees.

“To sneak around under the cover of darkness, to steal, to loot, to burn down your neighborhood – this does not require courage,” National NAACP President Cornell William Brooks said. “Courage is when you strive for justice.”

“Martin Luther King did not live and die so that we may steal and lie in the middle of the night.”

Hey, I guess the cop that shot the kid also owned the neighborhood QuikTrip store. Are these "people" for real?

"Holy War" of ISIS Arrives in Germany

Soeren Kern
August 12, 2014
“Never before have the sympathizers of Islamic terror appeared so openly in Germany.” — Editorial, Westfalen-Blatt.

“Anyone who thought the civil war in Syria or the barbarity of the Islamic State in Iraq does not affect us, you are wrong.” — Editorial, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

“IS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas and Boko Haram—these four groups are the linchpins of the attempt to bomb an unstoppable modernity back into the Middle Ages.” — Editorial,Westfalen-Blatt.

“The religions of the world are increasingly being misused for ideological struggles and excesses of violence between people of different faiths. Religions are never violent per se, but the market criers of violence are using them to promote their own interests.” — Editorial, Neue Westfälische.

Supporters of the jihadist group “Islamic State” [IS] have clashed with Kurdish Yazidis in North Rhine-Westphalia, the state with the largest Muslim population in Germany.

The violence—which comes amid threats by a German jihadist to blow up an American nuclear weapons storage facility in Germany—has counter-terrorism officials concerned that radical Muslims are deliberately exploiting the ethnic and religious tensions in the Middle East to stir up trouble on the streets of Europe.

Police say the Muslim-Yazidi clash was triggered after six Islamists stormed a restaurant in the eastern Westphalian town of Herford at around 4 pm on August 7. The Muslims were attempting forcibly to remove a poster inviting people to join a demonstration in support of the Yazidis in Iraq.

Thousands of Yazidis, an ethnic Kurdish non-Muslim minority, were forced to flee their homes in northern Iraq in early August to escape advancing Islamic State fighters, who are forcing the Yazidis to convert to Islam or be killed.

The 30-year-old owner of the restaurant in Herford and two others, all Yazidis, were injured in the brawl, which police say was fought with knives and bottles.

Several hours after the restaurant attack, between 300 and 500 Yazidis gathered in the Herford town center, where they clashed with a large group of hooded Salafists.

More than 100 police reinforcements from across eastern Westphalia were called in to restore order. Police, who used pepper spray to disperse the two groups, confiscated makeshift weapons and one firearm, and questioned 86 people.

In the final tally, police arrested six individuals involved in the attack on the Yazidi restaurant: Five ethnic Chechen Salafists and one German convert to Islam. According to German media, two of the individuals are leading Salafist operatives who were already being monitored by German intelligence.

A German intelligence official was quoted as saying that one of the Chechens is a trained fighter who participated in guerrilla warfare against Russian troops and who is considered to be “highly dangerous.”

German authorities have long warned of the threat posed by Salafism, a radically anti-Western ideology that seeks to impose Islamic sharia law in Germany and other parts of Europe.

Membership in Islamic extremist groups in Germany rose to 43,185 in 2013, up from 42,550 in 2012, according to German intelligence estimates. The number of Salafists in Germany rose to 5,500 in 2013, up from 4,500 in 2012, and 3,800 in 2011.

Although Salafists make up only a fraction of the estimated 4.3 million Muslims in Germany, authorities are increasingly concerned that most of those attracted to Salafi ideology are impressionable young Muslims who are susceptible to perpetrating terrorist acts in the name of Islam.

North Rhine-Westphalia is home to the largest concentration (about 1,500) of Salafists in Germany. The region is also home to most of the estimated 60,000 Yazidis who live in Germany.

The area around Herford has long been a magnet for Salafists, and mosques in the town are known to convert young people to Salafism. “Even the operator of a fitness center is suspected of wanting to inspire young Germans, under the guise of sports, for Salafism,” an intelligence official was quoted as saying.

More than a dozen men from the Herford area have joined IS in Syria and Iraq, and at least one, a 22-year-old German convert to Islam, is known to have been killed in the fighting.

On August 7, a German jihadist from the Westphalian city of Essen, who is believed to be fighting in Syria, threatened to bomb the American nuclear weapons storage facility situated near the city of Koblenz. The 27-year-old convert to Islam, who is known as Silvio K., also threatened to attack churches, government agencies and transport networks across Germany.

A German Interior Ministry spokesperson said that although “the threat is abstract, it may become real at any time.” He said it proves that Germany “is still the focus of jihadist terrorism,” especially from jihadists returning from Syria with combat experience and contacts to jihadist groups.

German commentators have reacted to the events in Herford with a sense of foreboding, with some saying that the war in Syria and Iraq has now arrived on Germany’s doorstep.

In an editorial entitled, “The Madness Reaches Eastern Westphalia,” the newspaper Westfalen-Blatt states:
“The Yazidis deserve our sympathy and support as do any other oppressed people in the world. The call for participation in a demonstration against genocide, which triggered the events in Herford, is perfectly legitimate in a democracy. It is to be hoped that many German flags will be flown at the rally to protest the misuse of religion for political purposes. Hopefully Herford is not the beginning of an escalation that could reach further levels of violence over the next few days….

“And this is frightening: Never before have the sympathizers of Islamic terror appeared so openly in Germany. These are the circles in which European fighters are recruited for jihad. This is also the milieu in which the Salafist ultra-radicals develop when they are back in Europe again. Therefore, police and secret service are required to monitor the scene closely.

“And no, we did not know that Chechen Muslims are such vehement supporters of the IS-terrorists in Iraq. The Chechens in the southern Russian Caucasus are themselves victims of repression and human rights violations.

“IS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas and Boko Haram—these four groups are the linchpins of the attempt to bomb an unstoppable modernity back into the Middle Ages. The means to this end are Sharia, hatred and glorification of a supposedly “holy” war—what madness!”
The newspaper Neue Westfälische stated:
“When—if as now in Herford—the Kurdish Yazidi religious community and the radicalized Islamist ideology of the Salafists collide, then a city in eastern Westphalia is in danger of going up in flames.

“The conflict between the Yazidis and Salafists has arrived at our front door because it is part of a global conflict. The religions of the world are increasingly being misused for ideological struggles and excesses of violence between people of different faiths. Religions are never violent per se, but the agents of violence are using them to promote their own interests.

“We should not be surprised by the tumult of Wednesday, as German intelligence has long warned that Herford is a center of Salafism. The Islamists, among them Russian Chechens, who have nothing to lose and are mainly driven by poverty and hopelessness, are in our midst. And the citizens react in disbelief and resignation… a silent horror.”
In an editorial entitled, “No Battleground for Radicals,” the newspaper Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung writes:
“Herford is not Mosul and North Rhine-Westphalia is not Iraq. Germany must not become an arena for clashes that take place beyond our borders, but that nevertheless are close to home, just because many people from the different ethnic groups involved live permanently among us.

“The clashes in eastern Westphalia are a warning that radical tendencies are directed not only against ‘infidels,’ but also against the entire Western liberal democratic order. There are indications that the attack on a Yazidi restaurant in Herford by supporters of the Islamic State was specifically planned. Perhaps it was to serve as a blueprint for a wave of hate attacks that may soon occur elsewhere. Islamic jihadists are ready for anything. This was already proved by the attack on the Jewish Museum in Brussels, with four victims.”
In another editorial entitled, “Looking the Other Way Will No Longer Work,” the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitungsummed it up this way:
Anyone who thought the civil war in Syria or the barbarity of the Islamic State in Iraq does not affect us, you are now wrong. No matter how far away Qaraqosh [Iraq's largest Christian city] and Sinjar [home to the Yazidis in Iraq] may be: What happens there also affects us here in Germany. Sympathizers of the Islamic State have attacked the Yazidi in Herford, which means that Qaraqosh, Sinjar and Herford are now inseparable.

“For far too long, Germany’s political leaders, and especially the leaders of German Muslim organizations, have sat by and idly watched the proliferation of the Salafist-jihadist hatred culture, in the purported belief that it poses no danger. It is absolutely outrageous that local politicians have played down the risk of Islamism, while the capabilities of the security authorities are increasingly being overstretched by the need to deal with this threat.

“Muslim organizations should hang their heads in shame. Rather than bluntly stating that the barbarians in northern Iraq are ‘not Muslims,’ they whistle away to say that Islam is ‘only peace.’ In the future, this kind of obfuscation will no longer suffice, especially if German Muslims, who are subject to the German legal system, wish to avoid being held accountable for the killings in the name of Islam.

“The Islamic State under its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may not last very long; but the propaganda from his jihad certainly will survive him. This is because the seeds of hatred that ‘Caliph’ Baghdadi has sown are far more toxic than those of Osama Bin Laden. For disaffected youth, the Islamic State exerts great appeal, and not only in Herford.”

Yes Germany, keep on believing that nationalism/patriotism/sovereignty is horrible due to fascism 69 years ago, and by all means, keep on absorbing hordes of Muslim aliens.

ISIS (al Qaeda) is a great example of a form of human cancer that must be eliminated.

Eleven years of occupation of Iraq, initially based on intentional lies and misinformation, has lead us here. The elite backed Arab Spring, supported and perpetuated by NATO nations stalled in Syria; they attempted through the Obama administration, the French government, and Turkey, to overthrow yet another sovereign government via al Qaeda/ISIS/foreign fighters/terrorists... which were armed and aided by these nations... and now these elements have spilled across the border into Iraq, essentially assuming control of the majority of northern Iraq. It is now reported that ISIS is now on the doorstep to Baghdad. So what did so many people die for????? To go from stability under one evil dictator to instability under a horde of evil?!?

And guess what? They are in Germany... and might come to your country next.

Oh, and don't worry America; your commander-in-chief is surely on the [golf] ball:
How is this man, and his entire administration, and Congress, still in office?????????

Of course he and the French leadership have zero accountability.

The Bush/Obama Legacy in Iraq

Eleven years of American occupation has climaxed in a near complete loss of control of northern Iraq.

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has solidified control over large portions of Iraq and Syria. Over the past month, ISIS:
  1. Expelled the last Christians from Mosul.
  2. Killed dozens of Syrian government soldiers in an attack on an army base. [Nevermind it was France and Obama that armed these terrorists and Turkey that escorted them into Syria.]
  3. Stormed a border town in Lebanon.
  4. Battled the pesh merga — the security forces of the Kurdish region of Iraq — to take control of three more towns in northern Iraq.

Iraq's largest Christian city was all but abandoned on Thursday as the jihadist advance through minority communities in the country's north-west rampaged towards the Kurdish stronghold of Erbil.

UN officials said an estimated 200,000 new refugees were seeking sanctuary in the Kurdish north from Islamic extremists who had pursued them since the weekend. The city of Qaraqosh, south-east of Mosul, home to around 50,000 Christians was the latest to fall, with most residents fleeing before dawn as convoys of extremists drew near.

Other Christian towns near Mosul, including Tel Askof, Tel Keif and Qaramless have also largely been emptied. Those who remained behind have reportedly been given the same stark choice given to other minorities, including Yazidis: flee, convert to Islam, or be killed.

Christians, Yazidis and Turkmen have been at the frontlines of Iraq's war with the Islamic State (Isis) ever since the jihadist group stormed into Mosul and Tikrit and mid-June. The Iraqi army capitulated within hours, with at least 60,000 officers and soldiers fleeing on the first day of the assault alone.

Ever since, the jihadists have continued to make advances, while Iraqi troops have concentrated on defending Baghdad and the Shia south, leaving the defence of minorities in the north to the Kurdish peshmurga.

However, even the much vaunted Kurdish forces were no match for the heavy weapons wielded by the jihadists as they advanced in recent days. Peshmurga officers ordered troops to withdraw to areas administered by the Kurdish regional government – a clear sign of priorities and of where the battle lines are being drawn.

Without any protection, Yazidis, Christians and Turkmen are being uprooted from communities they have lived in for millennia and the geo-social fabric of Iraq is being rapidly shredded.

While those who have managed to flee the Christian areas have so far had a relatively safe passage to Erbil, tens of thousands of Yazidis remain besieged on a mountain top near Sinjar, with little food or water.

The UN said on Thursday it was able to get some supplies overland to the stranded hordes – avoiding Isis fighters who have surrounded most of Mount Sinjar. Turkish foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced that Turkish helicopters had dropped food and water on the mountain top. Iraqi helicopters have also made food drops, but stranded Yazidis say they do not have enough to survive.

The Chaldean archbishop of Kirkuk, Joseph Thomas, described the situation in northern Iraq as "catastrophic, a crisis beyond imagination". He demanded urgent intervention to save what remained of the area's Christian heritage.

Kurdish officials on Thursday demanded more help in catering for refugees. The Kurdish administered areas have seen staggering numbers cross their notional border since the original Isis onslaught two months ago. In the first week alone, some 500,000 people are thought to have fled towards Erbil.

The capital of the Kurdish north is already home to a new Chaldean Christian community, which fled Baghdad in the wake of an Isis-led massacre inside a cathedral in October 2010. Many fleeing Christians have headed for the Ainkawa neighbourhood, which is home to Baghdad's Christian exiles.

The past 11 years of war and insurrection since the US invasion have led to most of Iraq's Christians fleeing. Numbers have plummeted starkly from an estimated one million before 2003 to around 150,000 now. A large number of those who remain are now displaced.

Miriam Dagher, 53, from Qaraqosh, said churches in the city had already been torched and religious insignia smashed. "We stayed as long as we could," she said. "But nothing could save us. This is the end of our community."

Isis has threatened to redraw the unitary borders that were carved out of the ruins of the Ottoman empire. The group's rampant insurgency and the inability of state actors to stop it has rendered the frontier between Iraq and Syria evermore irrelevant.

In the absence of central government authority, Shia militias are taking dominant roles, amplifying sectarian enmity between Islam's two most dominant sects.

Iraq's beleaguered prime minister, Nour al-Maliki, no longer has the authority to unite the country's disparate sects. Maliki, a Shia Muslim, had disenfranchised much of the country's Sunni community over the past three years, some of whom have turned to Isis as a means of reasserting themselves.

After digging in for the past two months, Maliki now faces a desperate battle to form a government, with his key backer Iran understood to have told him that it no longer supports his bid to lead the country for a third term.

Kurdish leader, Massoud Barazani, has said he is moving towards holding a referendum that could pave the way for an independence bid, a move that could spell the end of Iraq, and unsettle surrounding countries, including Syria, Turkey and Iran.

All this and emperor Obama is contemplating airstrikes against ISIS. Obama needs to be thrown out of office and tried for treason for numerous reason, one of which was his aiding and abetting these terrorist forces in Syria; the same elements that are now spilling over into Iraq - the same elements that were responsible for U.S. casualties in Iraq prior. There is no need for contemplation; they should be hit as if we were fighting NAZI Germany or Japan all over again - and they should be hit hard and without relent. And it shouldn't end with airstrikes - the gloves should come off. ISIS is a form of human cancer that requires immediate treatment... and that treatment cannot simply be issued only from a safe distance with aircraft.

Oh, and someone needs to school the idiot Turkish leadership. Whomever the asshole is at the helm over there in Turkey initially let huge sums of foreign fighters enter Syria through its border... and now they are attempting to provide some form of aide to the victims of these jihadists! [That said, it is more than the United States has done for these people.] Have you walked away with any lessons Turkey??? No offense intended by this, but the nation's name if fitting for those who run it.

And while we are on it, what about the conditions that persist in Syria? Conditions Obama and NATO helped create...

UPDATE: It appears that airstrikes are already being carried out targeting ISIS forces in northern Iraq. As I stated previously though, when killing roaches you must get your hands dirty and get them inside cupboards etc - ground forces must be brought in following the initial airstrikes.
